Swimathon for Kidsport Richmond

On February 8, 2013 I will be participating in a Swimathon to help raise funds for Kidsport Richmond.   I will have 30 minutes in a 25 metre pool to swim as many lengths as I can.   How many lengths do you think I can swim in 30 minutes?   Not familiar with Kidsport?  Well here is their mission statement: "We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport™ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport" And some information from their website: "KidSport™ Canada is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process we provide grants so they can play a season of sport. One of our primary goals is to support our network of 11 provincial/territorial

It's January, Let's Complain About the Weather

Seriously??!!  This is what I have to look forward to for the next 5 days in the forecast?  Agh!  This morning I got up and it was raining so I did my trainer ride thinking it would stop raining at some point today.  Well, it is now almost 5:30pm, dark and STILL RAINING!  Like build an ark raining.   At least Thursday looks like it might be an dry day to commute to work on my bike.  Cold and dry I can handle.  Cold and raining is down right miserable.   But wait, it gets better.  Saturday there is a chance so snow AND rain.   For any US readers out there,  these temperatures are in Celsius  so they are not quite as bad as you are thinking  but it is really wet.

Happy New Year!

Ok, I know it is January 7th, so I am a little late with the Happy New Year.  I also haven't posted in a while so I am late with that also. True to my word, I did not make any New Year's Resolutions for 2013.  This is not to suggest that I couldn't improve, correct or simply change a few things.  We all can.  I just didn't want to make a big grandiose statement for 2013.  Just live the best way I can everyday. I do have some exciting news though.  In December 2012, I launched  337Multisport .  I already have clients training to improve their half marathon times and one who is training for her very first marathon. I am so excited to be part of their journey. Over the holidays, I managed to keep up most of my training.  Even celebrated Christmas day with a 40km bike ride outside and New Year's Day with a 7km run.  I enjoyed more than my share of holiday treats and didn't feel one bit guilty about it. Now it is time to get back to a regular routine.  Sch
