Wearable Feedbags - Eat More, Move Less

New Wearable Feedbags Let Americans Eat More, Move Less Ok, so I thought this was the funniest thing I had seen in a while. Apparently, The Onion is not a new thing but I just discovered it. As for the feedbag idea, I am sure that some people will watch this and think "hey, that is not such a bad idea". LOL!

Feeling the effects of the weekend

Today I was pretty sure I was not going to make it though the day without falling asleep at my desk. After a weekend of celebrating Tim's 20th High School Reunion, a 75 km bike on Saturday and a 21.2km run on Sunday, I am BEAT! The 6:30am start at work today didn't help thing out either. This weekend was my toughest weekend and now I am in 2 weeks of taper mode. In a couple of weeks I get to do the swim, bike and run all in one day! Glad I booked the Monday off. The photo above was taken at Hornby Island. It is an underwater shot of an amazing starfish. Yes, they really are that purple and the water is really that clear there.

I skipped my morning ride today...

Last night after work I went for a swim at Kits Pool on my designated 'rest' day. It was a great night and I felt great during my swim. I was given a waterproof case for my IPod for my birthday and really liked swimming with it. After a few laps and a few adjustments, it was great. Such a strange experience to be hearing music underwater while swimming. Anyway, I woke up this morning pretty tired and with no interest in getting on my bike. I negotiated with myself for a few minutes then decided I would ride tonight and maybe skip my run. Or maybe do both after work. Or run at work and then ride tonight. So now I am brewing coffee and Blogging. In general, my training is going well. I rode the Lake Stevens bike course on Sunday. I did one 45 km loop and an extra bit of the course for a total of 60 kms . The elevation key on the map didn't lie. The course is HILLY and very scenic. I have posted a family photo from Andrew and Sandra Bank's wedding on Hornby Island on May
